I own an inactive Town Business (Please contact Ralph Nader - per Page 1 = to HELP with Stratford) ======================================================================================== Dom Costello - Unaffilated - Independent Retired Bridgeport Police Officer. Owns a Town Business. Former Republican primary winner for Mayoral Candidate 2005. Claims to not be Establishment. Positioning himself as an Independent Mayoral Candidate. I believe a deal was cut prior to 2005. (Like plausible deniability on AVCO / SAEP + AIRPORT + Shakespeare + Raymark?) Dom did NOT attend any Charter Revision Commission Meetings, to my knowledge. WHY NOT? Logically if one wanted to be Mayor, wouldn't he want to be involved in the Town Charter process, which sets all of the rules that a Mayor must utilize and abide? Dom postured against a Mayoral pay raise, to over $ 100,000, when he should have known (like I did since I attended Town Charter Revision Meetings) that Town Charter had NO way to create or implement Mayoral pay increases. I asked Dom to be involved and be against the Town Charter Revisions. He refused to get involved. I believe Dom told me certain untruths. Those are his rights. However, I do not believe Dom is as Independent as he wants to be portrayed. Fine Public Citizen and person. I forgot to list on page 1. Too bad Esq. Proto and friends on Charter Revision, did not include that. I wonder why? Jon is Consultant/Businessman who has worked for Bridgeport, Fairfield, NYC, and other Municipalities as well as private sector. Wife has been long time head of EMS and to my knowledge the only paid person on EMS. I like Jon. Fine Public Citizens and people. My issues with Jon is ONLY political. Jon has been active many years with EMS and the town. Jon attend many Charter Revision Commission Meetings. His past campaign Manager was a member of the Charter Revision Commission. Jon postured against a Mayoral pay raise, to over $ 100,000, when he should have known (like I did since I attended Town Charter Revision Meetings) that Town Charter had NO way to create or implement Mayoral pay increases. I believe Jon was present when it was discussed? I know Esq. Proto actively contributed to the conversation about pay raise! (town attorney issue?) I feel most (not all) of the 2 Charter Revision Commissions were appointed by people with an Agenda to limit Grandfathered Appeal Process in the pre 2005 Town Charter, for certain peoples' FINANCIAL GAIN! (Like plausible deniability on AVCO / SAEP + AIRPORT + Shakespeare + Raymark?) Because of those politically related relationships and other political relations among his backers, I do not believe Jon is as Independent as he wants to be portrayed. ============================================================================================ John Harkins - Republican Member of CT. Legislature for Stratford. I believe John is backed by the people who control the local RTC and some of those people have been involved with Team Stratford award of AVCO, and some who have connections to people involved in the Steel Point Project of Bridgeport. I believe those people and people in the Democratic party are involved with Pension debacle. Professionally has an Appraiser business, so he of all people would know the damage caused by dealys related to the 1992 closing of AVCO SAEP and the 1998 Town Council preferred Vender Award's affect on property values in Statford, had there been timely development of AVCO SAEP + AIRPORT + SHAKESPEARE?) Certain people in the RTC, DTC, and Team Stratford have been involved in Stratford Pensions. However, to my knowledge John has NOT been actively involved in those and barely present at Town Council Meetings, and to my knowledge did NOT attend ANY Town Charter Revision Commissions Meetings Much of his campaign financing appear to be from out of Town, if true? I wonder why? Fine Public Citizen and person. My issues with John is ONLY political. ==================================================================================== James Miron - Democrat - Mayor - Licensed Attorney - UNANNOUNCED Known political connections of backers have fingers in every part of Stratford's Pie (Like AVCO / SAEP + AIRPORT?) as well as many other Towns / Cities / Boards of Ed / Housing Authorities / Parking Authorities / Insurance / Real Estate / Labor / Finance. As Charter Revision Commissioner on the first charter, conveniently dominated by Republicans (plausible deniability) he was against the Mayoral form of Government. Jim became Mayor, when the Republicans and an Independent conveniently split the vote. Jim appointed the Town Attorney and now came out against the SHAKESPEARE CONTRACT which HIS TOWN ATTORNEY negotiated and then recommended against? (why did negotiations end? To save Town Attorney Billings?) Jim appointed the Police Chief and the former Deputy Chief, during which time outrageous Pension, some how got even worse. Jim staged and then postponed an Administrative Hearing complete with Stenographers, Lawyers and set up against a Fire Chief that he appointed and he reset the Hearing on a date after the Fire Chief's scheduled Disability hearing. He also made issue about Pay Raise > No mechanism in past Charter! Fine Public Citizen and person. My issues with Jim is ONLY political. =================================================================================== Gavin Forrested - Democrat, formerly a Republican - UNANNOUNCED. Involved with Stratford as decades volunteer: EMS and volunteer politics for many years Brilliant. Detail oriented. Don't play poker with him, as Gavin is very difficult to figure out. Chairman of the first Charter Revision Commission & active appointing the 2nd. 6 years on PENSION Board. CFO of a specialty Insurance Company. Similar to a Llyods of London, which has exotic products like Insurance for Water front (near water) property. (Like AVCO / SAEP + AIRPORT?) VERY Fine Public Citizen and person.
